In brief

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads no content from other providers when you visit it. Fonts, images, videos, music and scripts are served from our own server. Data only reaches third parties if you click a link to Steam or YouTube or start the YouTube video yourself.

Visiting the website and hosting

When you visit the website, your browser necessarily transmits data to our server: IP address, date and time, the requested address, the previously visited page (referrer), browser type and operating system. The server uses this data only to deliver the page. The connection is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).

We keep no access logs. The web server only writes a technical system log about start-up, configuration and certificates. It is configured to contain no requests and no IP addresses of visitors.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is providing the website securely and reliably.

The website runs on a server of netcup GmbH, Karlsruhe, Germany. netcup processes the data on our behalf.

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with netcup.

The TLS certificates are issued by Let’s Encrypt. No visitor data is transmitted in the process.

Cookies, local storage, analytics

We set no cookies and store nothing on your device. There is no audience measurement, no tracking and no advertising network. A cookie banner is therefore not needed.

The buttons “Wishlist on Steam” and “Join the playtest” and other Steam links lead to the store page of Streaming Tycoon on Steam, a service of Valve Corporation, Bellevue, USA. Only when you click one of these links does your browser open Valve’s page. From then on, Valve’s privacy policy applies.

The links contain identifiers (utm parameters) that only state that the visit comes from dmrgames.de. They contain no data about you. As the origin, Steam only learns the address https://dmrgames.de, not the exact page.

The trailers play from our own server. The “Watch on YouTube” links and the link to our YouTube channel lead to YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Only when you click one of these links does your browser open YouTube’s page. From then on, Google’s privacy policy applies. As the origin, YouTube only learns the address https://dmrgames.de.

YouTube video (loaded only after a click)

The home page offers a gameplay video hosted on YouTube. Until you click, the page only shows a preview image from our own server; nothing is sent to YouTube. Only when you click “Load video from YouTube” does your browser load the player from www.youtube-nocookie.com. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

From that click on, Google receives in particular your IP address and technical information about your browser and device. YouTube may store or read information on your device. A transfer to the USA is possible; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details are in Google’s privacy policy.

The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). If you do not load the video, nothing is transmitted. The consent applies only to the current page view.

Contact by e-mail

E-mails to kontakt@dmrgames.de are received by the mail server of netcup GmbH (Nuremberg). It keeps a copy in the mailbox and forwards the message to our mailbox at Telekom Deutschland GmbH.

If you e-mail us, we process your details to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about a contract, otherwise (f)). We delete the data once it is no longer needed for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
